Glass extension architect training CPD in Yorkshire

CPD sessions offer glass extension architect training

"We draw on our expertise to help architects expand their knowledge of high spec glazing systems."

We run CPD sessions for architects across Yorkshire that offer in-depth, relevant and practical information about all aspects of architectural glazing and design.

Drawing on our expertise and long experience in the fenestration industry, we help architects expand their knowledge of high spec glazing systems and bespoke glass solutions for residential and commercial projects.

Architectural glazing systems such as glass extensions, oversized sliding doors, glass rooms and expansive yet slimline bi-folding doors are much in demand from architects and their clients. In modern architecture schemes as well as in extension and alteration schemes for existing properties, glass brings a stunning aesthetic to a home and creates a light, airy living space that incorporates both the indoors and outside areas.

"We can tailor our sessions to help fill specific gaps in your knowledge."

Our range of RIBA-approved CPD sessions are usually delivered at the architects’ practice by our technical sales director Sharon Womersley, who has a wealth of knowledge of architectural glazing and glass applications, in partnership with Chris Riddle, the UK sales manager for glazing systems manufacturer Solarlux.

Suitable for architects at all levels, the seminars delve into various aspects of glass design and how to specify architectural glazing. We cover everything from the different glass systems and their applications to the latest technologies, sustainability and building regulations.

For example, we recently held a RIBA-approved session called To Slide or To Fold? at an architects’ practice in Harrogate, sharing our in-depth knowledge of sliding doors and folding doors. Focus areas included building regulations, wind loads and height thresholds, and all the other factors that need bearing in mind when incorporating sliding doors and folding doors into a design.

We can tailor our sessions towards any requirements so that they help fill specific gaps in the knowledge of those attending. We also hold a Q&A session after each presentation which is usually very lively with lots of great and insightful questions that really test our expertise.

Our CPD sessions can be held at any time or day to suit you. We also offer virtual CPDs. To book a CPD at your architectural practice, please call Sharon Womersley on 0113 255 5555 or click the button below for the contact form.
