7 Pane Bi-Folding Doors

Our 7 pane bi-folding doors will create a stunning opening for your home that gives a true sense of indoor-outdoor living.

A myriad of configurations for Solarlux's 7 pane bi-folding doors offers the verstaility to design your bi-folds to meet your practical and aesthetic needs. Along with the impressive expanse of glazing, there's also the potential to specify the slimmest sightlines of any similar-sized bi-fold on the market.

Some of the configuration options where the doors open to the outside are detailed below, including all doors folded to one side, to those with an independent master door. Bi-folding doors that open outside are handy if space is limited inside your home.

Take a look at the options below and contact our team on 0113 898 0898 for guidance on which configuration would suit your requirements best.

Door Opening Outside

7 Right / O - 7R

Stack all 7 panes of your bi-folding doors to the right hand side in this configuration, when viewed from inside. The master door is on the far left hand side. With lever handles inside and outside, the master door can be used independently as a handy access door or master leaf door if it's in a high traffic area of your home.

Door Opening Outside

7 Left / O - 7L

This is the alternative configuration to the one above if you are looking to stack all seven panes to the same side. In this example, they all fold smoothly together to the left when viewed from inside. A master door on the far right hand side has lever handles inside and out, which is a useful feature in allowing it to be independently opened for regular access.

Door Opening Outside

1 Left 6 Right / O - 1L 6R

When viewed from inside, this 7 pane bi-folding door configuration requires the door on the far left to be opened first to the left hand side. This door has lever handles inside and outside, so can function on its own as a master door for access, just like a back door.

The other six bi-folding panes are then moved in the opposite direction, coming together at the right hand side.

This configuration is another option if you would like a master door at the far end of your set of bi-folds. In this case, the master door is placed at the right hand side, when viewed from inside. It has lever handles both outside and in, meaning it's ideal as a frequent entrance and exit point.

The other six panes glide effortlessly to the left and fold together on your patio or garden.

Door Opening Outside

5 Right 2 Left / O - 5R 2L

With the independent master door positioned third from the left when viewed from the inside, this configuration sees five panes stacked at the right hand side of the opening, and two panes on the left.

When opening all the doors, the master door must be opened first with its internal or external lever handle. It then glides smoothly to fold against the four other doors alongside it. The remaining two doors are unlocked with an internal shootbolt handle and stacked to the left hand side.

When viewed from the inside, these 7 pane bi-folding doors have five panes opening to the left and two to the right.

The master door, which can be used as an independent access door if required, has lever handles inside and out. This door must be opened first when opening the whole set, stacking to the left hand side of the opening with the four doors next to it.

The two other doors on the far right hand side have an internal shootbolt handle and fold together to the right.

Door Opening Outside

3 Right 4 Left / O - 3R 4L

For an outdoor-opening master door nearer the centre of your bi-folds, this is one of two options. With a lever handle on both the outside and the inside, the pane can function independently for frequent use.

When opening all your bi-folding doors, the master one located third from the right needs to be opened first. Along with the other two doors to its right, when viewed from inside, it moves and stacks to the right hand side of the opening.

The four remaining left-hand doors in this configuration fold together to the left side. They have no external handles or locks, with the doors being opened with shootbolt handles.

3 Left 4 Right / O - 3L 4R

This is the other option if you are looking for an outward-opening independent access door more towards the centre of your set of bi-folds. It has a lever handle on both sides for ease of opening - ideal for use as a back door to your home.

This master door, located third from the left when viewed from inside, must be opened first before the other bi-folding doors. It then moves and stacks with the other two panes to its left.

The other four panes on the right hand side are opened with two internal shootbolt handles and fold together to the right hand side.
